Dear Friends,
Yesterday, Monday November 12, we held our Charter Members' lunch
at the Turkish Kitchen. Our featured guest was Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz.
As you all know, Mr.
Markowitz is a close friend of our community. During lunch, Mr.
Markowitz was introduced to all our attending charter members. Everyone was able to spend a long,
intimate and quality time with Mr. Markowitz. The food was superb as always, and
conversation was stimulating. First, Mr. Markowitz spoke about his love and respect for the
Turkish American community and gave highlights of his recent trip to Turkey. He then officially
declared his decision to run for the Mayor of New York City.
There were a lot of good questions from our charter members regarding
his decision. Mr. Markowitz thanked TABF for its support during his term as the Brooklyn Borough
President and also asked for our support in his new race as the mayor of the greatest city in the
world.
On behalf of all our members, I congratulate Marty Markowitz and wish
him good luck.
Sincerely yours,
Murat Agirnasli, President
Turkish-American Business Forum
